These are the sounds found in most native Bengali dialects;there are also sounds not on the chart.


Other sounds:

A labio-velar central approximant [w]
voiceless stops can be aspirated; voiced stops can be breathy voiced
A voiced mid central palatal approximant
A voiced mid central labial-velar approximant
Vowels can be nasalized
